How a Compromise Agreement Can Prevent A Tribunal Process by Tim

The author invites you to visit:,Foamposites

v class="hft-lines">
So one of your employees is leaving and not on good terms. You're a bit worried that you might end up facing them at an Employment Tribunal, but then you hear about a possible amicable solution - a compromise />
A compromise agreement is an agreement made without the involvement of ACAS or an employment tribunal. Indeed, this is often to stop a case getting as far as a tribunal. But it has to meet all the legal requirements for it to be legally valid. Here you have a good starter guide to give yourself an idea:
- The agreement must be in writing. There is a very specific form of words that should be used in drafting a compromise agreement, that's why a skilled adviser will be reassuring.
- It's important that the agreement covers everything that has been complained about. Take care though, having a loose catch-all phrase won't be enough - make sure all the employee's complaints - or might complain about - is included in the compromise agreement.
- An employee signing a compromise agreement is entitled to independent professional advice from a solicitor. Normally you'll have to pay for this as an employer. But, why? Well, failure to do so could be interpreted as trying to prevent an employee from seeking independent advice... and it will help you. However, it's good to know that the costs aren't normally higher than £500.
- Check with your adviser he/she has appropriate professional indemnity insurance and that this person is identified in the agreement with their name and signature.
- The exact sections of law which the compromise agreement refers to should be listed. For example, 'a claim under Parts X or XI of the Employment Rights Act 1996'. Here again is where having an experienced compromise agreement solicitor will make your life easier.
Do you feel your stiff neck easing,Jordan 4, the tension lifting? Well,Foamposite Galaxy, a complicated and stressful process through a tribunal is not anyone's cup of tea - for the employer or the employee - so that odds that they will agree to sign a compromise agreement and come to an amicable solution are high. The solicitor will help you to understand all the important points and benefits this compromise agreement will bring you.
So enjoy the rest of the day and a good sleep tonight,Foamposites 2012!

Understanding the Dangers of Road Debris by Mark Dacanay

About The Author
To help you deal with road debris and auto accidents issues, consult with our expert personal injury lawyers. Visit our website at and avail of our free case analysis.

v class="hft-lines">
Road debris is one of the leading causes of auto accidents in the United States. According to AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, road debris mishaps account for 25,000 of all auto accidents and causes 90 deaths in the United States each year.
What is Road Debris?
Road debris refers to the general things that can be found on the road that shouldn’t be there. It could range from small things like stones or pebbles, pieces of broken glass,Foamposites, nails, screw, sand, gravel and black ice to bigger things like furniture,Jordan 4, tire, metal and sometimes even tree branches or the tree itself. In some cases animals can be considered road debris or a road hazard as well.
Most of the time, road debris accumulates on roads that are not driven to as much. In urban areas, road debris usually collects on the edges of the road and mostly on traffic islands. In rural areas, it tends to collect on the middle of the road and on corners and bends.
Dangers
There are a lot of auto accidents that are caused by road debris. Here are some of the most common:
Puncture
Sharp and pointy objects lying on the street and roads like nails,Foamposite Galaxy, screws, and shards of broken glass is one of the most common road debris. Since most of these things are very small, it is very difficult to avoid. These kinds of road debris punctures holes on tires and tube tires are most susceptible because it deflates easily.
Skidding
The most common cause of skidding on roads is accumulated sand. It lessens tire traction on the road because of its loose qualities that make the roads slippery.
Another cause of skidding is black ice. Black ice is ice that forms on the road because of fog, rain or mist that accumulated on the road where the process of freezing is slowed as a result of sublimation. The moisture forms a transparent strip that freezes to the ground.
Because it is transparent, it takes the black color of the road, thus the term “black ice”. It is very difficult to avoid because it is camouflaged and it is much more slippery than normal ice.
It is most common on bridges because of the circulation of air below and above the bridges that causes faster drop in temperature.
Animal Collision
There are nearly 1.5 million car and deer collisions on Unites States highways each year. The high number may be a result of the rapid rise on the population of deer and the development of former wild lands to urban sprawls.
Be Careful
Although most of this road debris is unavoidable, you can still do some things to protect yourself.
Here are some tips to follow to keep yourself safe from road debris and avoid auto accidents:
? Slow down on bridges. Since black ice usually forms around bridges,Foamposites 2012, slowing down gives you more control over a vehicle in case you hit a strip of black ice.
? Be aware of signs and warnings. Signs like “Deer Crossing” warn you of the possible dangers on the road and keep you aware of the surroundings.
? Do not use tube tires. Tube tires easily deflate if punctured.
? Keep a safe distance from other vehicles. In case something falls off from the load of those vehicles, keeping a distance will give you more time to maneuver your car and avoid the road debris.

The Pope, From Outside The Box by Michael Knell

v class="hft-lines">
Should the Pope resign for his part played in the scandalous child abuse cases within the Catholic Church? So many people are asking this question at the moment, but personally I find it quite insulting. To me the answer is a no-brainer ― of course he should resign,Foamposite Galaxy, and immediately.
Although one doesn’t need to be biased to come to that conclusion, I have to admit to more than a little of that in this argument. You see: for a religion based on the life and beliefs of one man who lived some two thousand years ago, a man so convinced his teachings were right that rather than hide from his persecutors he died for them, I find the very position of Pope itself quite preposterous. It can only be acceptable to those who live within a box prepared for them by this church.
Those who know me well will be fully aware: I never live within a box; it is something I refuse to do. It might be worth remembering here that the whole Christian religion is founded on a man who acted similarly; he jumped screaming and shouting out of his box, condemning the very likes of so much of what the Vatican stands for today. The scriptures may be dubious in many places, and open to interpretation, but here they leave no doubt whatsoever: neither Jesus nor any of his disciples put themselves up to be what the Pope is to people today. They openly decried such people.
So the problem does not lie with the faith, the word, love, charity, compassion, or any of the other good things Jesus preached, but with being in the box. Perhaps people should climb out of it and strengthen their beliefs,Foamposites!
Boxes can be dangerous places, and it is unfortunate so many people find comfort in them. I think if some truly evaluated their box they would find they have only chosen it not so much for comfort but for ease ― as a way of not having to work things out for themselves and arrive at their own conclusions. For instance: people living within this church’s box believe in marriage as we know it today to be something Jesus was happy about,Jordan 4, but jumping out of that box to research the facts proves no such contract existed in his time, and as far as the scriptures tell us: he never sought one. He lived in a time when history tells us of recorded same-sex unions happening all around the known world, and yet he never once spoke out against them.
In the time of Jesus people thought of marriage as a private matter, and it came in many forms, with no religious or any other type of ceremony being required. It was 110 years later that the church first became involved in marriage as a union, to claim it as its own and attach self-rewarding rules and regulations, when Bishop Ignatius of Antioch wrote to Bishop Polycarp of Smyrna, saying, “It becomes both men and women who marry, to form their union with the approval of the bishop that their marriage may be according to God, and not after their own lust.” As Jesus didn’t himself actually preach such a philosophy, I have to wonder: was this bishop’s reasoning to enhance the importance of his church as an organisation, or merely to make money? Or perhaps both?
Though as a child my parents forced me to be a choirboy ― a good one, who sang well and became a head choirboy ― I am not a deeply religious person. I matured, looked out over the top of my box, and saw many things I needed to know more about. Once out of that box,Foamposites 2012, I found I still believed, but better than that: I was able to live my life in the manner I know the man the Christian church has built itself on would really want. I am convinced: only when you have escaped from your box, and are free from all influence, can you ever truly come to know that man. Not being deeply religious, I may not be equally as convinced in a hereafter actually existing, however. But by leading my life in the way that man suggested two thousand years ago, should there really be one, then I know I’m in with a good chance of seeing it ― and it won’t have taken a Pope to whom protecting th

Shavuot by Olga Pulisman

About The Author
The Holy Land Pilgrimage website is designed to help believers get better acquainted with the Holy Land. The site offers an inside look at various and diverse aspects of the Holy Land. It also provides practical information and useful links. What's more,Foamposites, the site also makes it easy to find local travel agents specialized in organizing pilgrimage to the Holy Land.

v class="hft-lines">
And thou shalt observe the feast of weeks, even of the first-fruits of wheat harvest, and the feast of in-gathering at the turn of the year. (Exodus 34:22)
Shavuot (lit. weeks),Foamposite Galaxy, one of Judaism’s three pilgrimage festivals (along with Passover and Sukkot), marks the giving of the Torah (the Five Books of Moses) on Mt. Sinai. The holiday is celebrated exactly seven weeks after the first day of Passover, which marks the Exodus itself.
A fundamentally agricultural holiday,Jordan 4, Shavuot is also called the Harvest Holiday and the First Fruits Holiday (as it is referred to in Numbers 28:26 and Exodus 23:16, respectively),Foamposites 2012, commemorating the custom of bringing offerings to the Holy Temple from the first fruits of the harvest (Deuteronomy 26:1-11) and the first animals born to the flocks (Numbers 28:26-31). This agricultural aspect of the holiday was retained even after the destruction of the Holy Temple: among the symbols of the holiday are the seven species with which the Land of Israel is blessed - wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates.
Shavuot is also connected to the Biblical Book of Ruth. Ruth was an ancestor of King David, who passed away on Shavuot. As Ruth was a convert to Judaism, she actively accepted the Torah, as did the Jewish people at Mt. Sinai. What’s more, the story depicted in the Book of Ruth takes place during the wheat harvest, around the time of Shavuot.
On the night of Shavuot, it is customary to eat dairy products. After the festive holiday meal, many observant Jews will follow a time-honored tradition of studying Torah all night long in their local synagogue. They then say the morning prayers at the earliest permitted time, symbolic of the enthusiasm of the Jewish people to receive the Torah.
The Shavuot morning prayers are marked by special hymns and scriptural readings, including the Book of Ruth. Some communities decorate their synagogues with green plants and flowers, reflecting traditions that Mt. Sinai was a green mountain and that Shavuot is a day of judgment for fruit trees.

A Spell You Say Inductive Bible Study Uncovers Lessons from Paul

v class="hft-lines">
"O you foolish Galatians,Foamposites 2012, you who saw Jesus Christ the crucified so plainly, who has been casting a spell over you?" (Galatians 3:1) These haunting words of the Apostle Paul find application not only with these Galatians, but to people of every generation―even to us in this postmodern world currently entranced by countless mystifying spells of mythological fables.
So what was this Spell? What was Paul’s message to these Galatians entranced by its influence? What do we discern as the Bible speaks to us through Inductive Bible Study regarding its application in our lives today? At Paul's Primers Online Ministry we answer such questions every day in our ten minute daily Christian Podcasts. Sign Up today, and as a listening member you will have the powerful experience of walking daily in His word, enhancing and strengthening your Christ-like faith with ease and modern day convenience.
For now,Jordan 4, let's begin this written study by noting how Paul felt it necessary to remind these Galatians that indeed, he truly was the thirteenth apostle, equal to the other twelve in every way; how he and the other twelve were in perfect agreement regarding their gospel message. Remember, Paul had established the churches of South Galatia on his first missionary journey, and the churches of North Galatia on his second missionary journey, so these were folks with whom he was well acquainted. Thus his dismay that they would so easily be led astray by false apostles, those who came in after him―casting their evil spell by preaching a different Jesus. This is why he opens his letter to them with a reminder of who he truly was, to call them to remembrance of how they first came to faith, and the signs and wonders worked through him as evidence of the truth of his gospel.
Early on in his letter to these Galatians, Paul also makes a high level mention of the true gospel and its connection to the end of time. Why? Because he was concerned that these beloved Galatians, believers who had come to faith by his very preaching, would not make it safely to the coming catastrophic end of that Old Covenant Age. This mention of the end, of course, is also applicable to our day. Not in form, for the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of the Temple could happen only once; but in essence, for the end of our earthly existence and the destruction of our bodily temple will most assuredly come upon each one of us. So we,Foamposite Galaxy, like these Galatians, will meet our Maker, and our only valid claim to salvation will be through Grace by faith in Jesus Christ. Only that Grace preached by Jesus Christ Himself, His hand-picked Apostles,Foamposites, and recorded for us in the beautiful writings of the early church fathers will be sufficient for our salvation.
So what was the "spell" Paul was referring to in chapter three? Simply put, it was the faulty teachings of false apostles. The spell thus cast had these Galatians leaving that “Ancient Christian Truth" that first beckoned them to an authentic faith in the Lord. They were being drawn away from the liberty of Jesus Christ through faith alone and back into a pharisaical anti-Christ religiosity. They were being drawn away from the truth of a New Testament Israel made up solely of believers, and back into a religiosity based on physical seedlines and earthly paradises. They were already falling for new doctrines to replace the "Ancient Christian Truth" preached directly from the mouths of the Apostles. And O’ how Paul sought to call them back―even as he seeks to call all men back, from every generation, to that Ancient Christian Truth once delivered to the saints.
Consider our world today. What "spell" have we come under. . . that somehow denominationalism means more than brotherhood in Christ? What "spell" have we come under. . . that somehow the simple truth of being chosen is no longer connected solely to one's belief, or lack thereof, in the deity of Jesus Christ? How many new doctrines of men, in truth nothing more than fables and mythol
